If you go, bring LOTS of mosquito repellent. The mosquitos in Siberia in the summer are the size of hippos. On the bright side, I swear they flew more slowly than more civilized mosquitos. (Also, at least when I was there, Russians had not discovered window screens, and as you might imagine AC in Siberia is rare. So your choices in summer - and it *does * get hot - are to shut the windows and suffocate, or open them and get eaten by mosquitos. I chose the former and had huge bites on my legs all summer.)
