I'm gunna ask again, how do i make reasonable money quickly? With minimal experience?

"Guys, please help me find a job! I’m DESPERATE! DESPERATE! There has to be jobs out there for someone as desperate as me but with no experience or relevant skills! But I won’t deliver pizza or papers, or tend bar. And any sort of manual labor is OUT; that shit is hard. DEFINITELY no job that was ever featured on Dirty Jobs because guh-ROSS! Oh, and I refuse to work in sales of any kind, so I’ll completely ignore the multiple suggestions with helpful info, then berate you guys for not being helpful. And the same goes for temping, too.

“So as you can see, I’m desperate for ANY kind of job! Why can no one help me?” :frowning:

Yeah, I know that. But how can I make reasonable money quickly? And fast? With minimal experience.

Well, you could probably do it by following some of the suggestions in this thread. It still doesn’t look like the OP could, though.

He could do what his friends did; be lucky. Do feel lucky? Well, do you?

There have been no good suggestion so far. The poor kid will probably starve.

What is this kind of thread doing on here anyway?

The first one, which was exactly like this one, did not result in the answer the OP wanted to get.

Third time will probably be the charm!

Landscaping. You can do it anywhere. You can work for someone, and even go out on your own pretty easy. I know someone who hauls a mower in a trunk and mows local lawns. Pretty good work for the solitude and outdoor type.

Look into walking dogs. People love their dogs but have lives too busy too walk them. It’s easy work, you set your own schedule, and if you can manage two or three dogs at a time, say three or four times a day, you could make decent money for very little work, effectively just walking around.

Only problem is your ‘low moral standards’, no one is giving a housekey to someone who stole from their former employers, for instance.

Anyway, just another suggestion for you to shrug off!

Good Luck anyway! I think you’ll need it!

If you combine landscaping with dog walking, you can ensure the dogs have a convenient place to poop, too!

Maybe they read your other thread where you already ruled out phlebotomy or community college.

Can the OP push a broom?

He’s in Florida - the place where no-talent people work in either fast food or swimming pool maintenance.

Sweeping down pools and skimming stuff off the top may get a part-time with a huge client base and have a couple of clients who buy the bargin-basement service contracts, which are for weekly skim and brush.
If they also use chlorine tablets with a floating dispenser, he could probably figure out how to fish it out of the water, open it and drop in a new tablet or two.

But this is out because he won’t take part-time.

How much are you making by posting these worthless OPs?

Here is a question for you - What are your basic requirements for a job? Are you looking for something where you sit at a desk all day? Do you need a position where you are off the phones because you can’t bear talking to people for 8 hours at a time? Are you wanting to make a big commitment to a company or organization in exchange for long term training? Do you want to work with food or does that sound hideous? Do you want to wear a suit every day or do you consider a tie the equivalent of a noose?

I don’t want to know what you think would be super easy or which companies should hire you because they obviously hire people way dumber than you, etc. Tell me what you can see yourself doing, day in and day out. So far all we know is that you are looking for $12-$15 an hour and that you are willing to live in a one bedroom apartment with other people stacked like cordwood. It seems from your posts that you know what you don’t want but not what might be a good fit for you.

I think he said he would like to push a button.

He wants a job at Staples?

No need to ask–He’s a broom operator

You did intend for this to be read as sung by Sade, right?

Just checkin’.

So the OP is 21 and with a high school diploma, and wants to make money with minimal effort.

Money to live and grow, or money to buy more toys and just exist?

I suspect the latter.

Move on, nothing to see here.

You didn’t read his nuanced arguments. I think he wants to be rich enough to eventually get a mortgage on a bigger couch. We shouldn’t shoot down the American Dream for younger people even if it does sound unrealistically ambitious. Who has ever heard of someone making $12 an hour? That is like $24,000 a year but I think you have to get into the NBA or some shit like that to make that much money.

    • Somehow, I doubt that the word ‘charm’ has much meaning in this thread/trainwreck in progress.
