I'm happy, I'm sad

My youngest daughter starts kindergarten in about an hour!
I am going to be a wreck today.
You know I’ve done this four times.
Sending them off to their first day of school.
She’s my baby!
The last one to go!
I will be home alone!
I think I’m going to cry already and I haven’t even woke them for school yet.
Our (my bio) second oldest daughter started Jr. High Thursday and that was trying on my nerves.
I can’t imagine my thread next year when our oldest (his bio) daughter starts high school.
When I dropped off our sons on for their first day on Thursday I was told I didn’t need to walk them up to the school, that they could do it themselves.

What if my baby just wanders off and carries on without me? What if she clings to me and doesn’t want me to leave?
What am I going to do with my day?
Who is going to watch SpongeBob with me?
I’m going to be all alone!:frowning:

Yes but now you can watch Masterpiece Theatre instead of Sponge Bob.

Now you can read Great Expectations instead of The Pokey little Puppy.
Now you can have an affair with the mailman!

Well, I’m back home now.
I’m a wreck!
My baby is growing up.
She walked into her class without a backwards glance.

Zebra, I adore Sponge Bob and now I don’t have a buddy to watch it with.
As for the reading you are right about that.
And the mail man doesn’t get here until sometime around four and by then all five of the heathens and the hubby are home.

Sponge Bob’s also on at 8pm hun

I know how you feel…I felt the same way when I sent my youngest off to kindergarden…and I’m feeling the same same way now as I send him off to Junior High…he’s only 12! He’s still a BABY!!!

Try to enjoy the peace and quiet…before you know it they’ll all be coming in the door again !

Good Luck!

Witch you were so right!
In the door they came in a big rush of arguing and bickering!
And this morning was once again filled with brushing of teeth and hairs and the finding of shoes and socks.

Yesterday after I calmed down a bit I tried to lay down and get some sleep before they got home since I work third shift and hadn’t gotten any sleep in about 48 hours and the neighbor decided that it was a great day to cut down every freakin’ bush and tree in the yard!
I mean how dare they decide to do yard work during the day!

Seriously it just wasn’t my day yesterday. I did better dropping her off today.

Oh my god, my youngest starts kindergarten in two years and I can’t freaking WAIT.

Did anyone else read the title to this thread and think of Gong’s Prostitute Poem?

I’m happy
I’m not happy
I’m sad…

You know I thought I couldn’t wait either and then it hit me yesterday morning.
I got to sleep all day today which was nice but I feel guilty cause nothing got done around the house.
Little do the heathens know but I have big plans for their bedrooms.
Toy boxes and dressers to clean out and rearrange without them sitting there telling me that clothes that haven’t fit for ages are their favorites and must be kept or toys that haven’t seen anything but the bottom of the toy box are going as well.

You’re two tents!

No, wait … wrong joke.
