I think I’ve decided to go down to Ground Zero tomorrow (Thursday).
I’ve seen all the pictures, heard all the stories, watched all the TV shows, and heard all the pep talks. But, I think for my own personal mantra, I need to go down there and see it with my own eyes. NY Dopers, do you have any advice?
Call it a personal thing. I guess I just need to be reminded.
On the other hand, I do want to take the opportunity to take a pair of American flags down with me, and fly them overlooking the site. It’s another personal little thing, but I have a special ‘campaign banner’ that was sent to me by my Representative’s office, flown over Iraq, flown over Afghanistan, and will now go with me down to Ground Zero. I’m a sappy sentimental-type sometimes. . .
So, Maeglin, lurkernomore, True Pisces, Newton Meter, if you guys feel like sitting down for a beer or lunch or something, shoot me an e-mail and I’ll letcha know where I’ll be.
It’ll be kinda hard to miss a 5’6" guy with a NJ Devils ballcap, wearing a backpack with a 3’x5’ US Flag hanging out of it. . .
