I’m on my last day of an 11-day vacation from work–seven of those days spent out of town–and I am in a terrific mood. Finally finished setting up the apartment a few days ago, spent good time with friends today, played with my dog (I also found out today that she has hip-arthritis, but children’s aspirin is helping), and I’m just generally feeling great. Got subdued lighting on and John Pizzarelli playing (“Dear Mr. Cole,” if anyone’s interested), and I just for some reason have this absurdly rosy outlook on life right now.
