I'm in a pickle-jam...yes, I am!

Well …on my counter is tomatoes. On my deck rail is tomatoes. I count about 60.

Son-of-a-wrek is out picking peas with the kids. Gonna be a hot stinky mess when they’re done.
He picked a bushel and a peck Saturday.

Mid-dau’s been Pea-ing all day. She made vegetable soup. She cooked some tomatoes into sauce.
I felt bad and made cornbread for her.
We still have squash(good grief that stuff won’t quit making)

Cucumbers. Yep, we know how they work.
They tease you with the first few. You just can’t wait for those first ones.
Then the next day or two you have a 1000.

Pickles it is. Looks like.

Dill pickles. Or sweet pickles. But no bread & butter pickles! :tired_face:

Actually our first will be chile-lime spears.

I’m wary.

When I have perfect cucumbers and tomatoes I make Gazpacho.

And I make refrigerator pickles from cucumbers and onions.

Don’t forget about sour cream salad, for both the cukes and the tomatoes!

I second this, but use Greek yogurt in place of sour cream.

We make a gazpacho type thing. But boy is it a big mess.
We will be doing it, I’m sure.

Yep, I spend hours forcing tomatoes through a chinois. But the texture is like velvet!
