Glad you’re home - sending out a wish for a full and speedy recovery.
Good luck with the ERCP. When a hospital does a lot of them, the crew gets very good at it. So it’s worth the bother of traveling to the right place.
Thanks! That makes a lot of sense and actually does make me feel better about having to go downtown for it.
Glad you’re home; hope the rest of your treatment goes well.
The food was actually pretty good. Well, at breakfast the bacon was floppy rather than being even slightly crispy, so that’s a minus, but the rest was better than the usual hospital fare.
There’s no reason for my food to have been better than anyone else’s, the company I works for mops floors, dusts, and sanitizes. The have nothing to do with food.
I know it can take awhile to schedule these things. Be sure to keep us updated.
Okay, here it goes.
For various reasons, my GI doc decided that it would be better to start out by doing an endoscopic ultrasound first and then only doing an ERCP (which is more invasive) if it’s deemed necessary.
I had it done at Einstein in Philly today. Everything was normal. No stones or sludge, and the pancreas, ducts, and liver all appeared normal. So, no ERCP :), but no idea what caused the pancreatitis.
My blood tests are all normal. So now the only course of action is to hope that it doesn’t occur again.
Crossing my fingers for you.
