Anyone have anything to recommend? The catch is, it has to be available on Netflix’s streaming “Watch Instantly” thingie.
I want something weird and funny… not scary, not depressing, but definitely bizarre.
Ideas?

I just watched Role Models last night and I laughed my ass off. It was stupid and bizarre and hilarious.
“Would you like to come over for dinner Saturday and we could get to know each other?”
“Oh no thanks. It’s nothing personal, I just don’t really like eating with people.”
Have you seen Being John Malkovich?
Dunno if it’s available, or really “wacky,” but try Idiocracy.
Joe
Hangover. Oh, Brother Where Art Thou?, The Big Lebowski, Monty Python & the Holy Grail (or pretty much anything Monty Python).
The Big Lebowski is available on Netflix Watch Instantly
I can’t check from here if it’s on Netflix or not, but Rat Race was pretty good.
Repo Man
I don’t know if it’s on instantly at Netflix, but Scavenger Hunt is a good bet.
I chose Pee Wee’s Big Adventure for this purpose this weekend.
don’t know what they’ve got, but you can try these:
**Bringing up Baby
What’s up, Doc?
Who’s Minding the Mint?
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum
It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World
What’s Up, Tiger Lily?
Take the Money and Run
Bananas
Love and Death
Sleeper
**
Good call, except they don’t have it. I’ve been wanting to see that for years.
The Wicker Man – the remake with Nicholas Cage. It is sooo bad it transcends bad and moves into hilarious unintentional parody territory.
Second the nomination. This movie is hilarious.
Strange Wilderness
Raising Arizona
The Big Lebowski
I’d recommend Erik the Viking, but last time I used that kind of subscription, neither Blockbuster nor Netflix had it at ALL, so probably no luck there.
I don’t know if you can get it instantly, but Netflix does have Brain Donors, a damnfine pastiche of the Marx Brothers’ A Night At The Opera.
Oooh, have you seen The Big Lebowski? I know for sure it’s on Netflix instant watch.
As Taomist points out, it would fit all three of your criteria.
The funniest movie in the history of cinema and a close runner-up. (You could turn off the sound on Forum and just watch Zero Mostel’s face, and you’d still get more bellylaughs than from most comedies.)
