I'm making a Turducken

I heard about this several years back, although I’ve never prepared, or even tasted one. I don’t care for duck because they’re so greasy and I’ve wondered how that would affect the other birds. Thanks for clarifying.

Humph. I’m rather cross with you for not posting to my Christmas dinner thread. A good turducken story is just what it needed to…sex it up a bit  .

I guess the only thing special I’m doing this year is the apricot shallot suffing (made it last night, came better then I expected, really) and the cranberry tart (made my own cranberry jam!).

Maybe I’ll try a turducken some year…I don’t know, people got upset when I tried to feed them goose.

But the duck is the best part

Surprisingly? For me, just getting a turkey stuffed and into the oven in time to eat before 5:00p is an epic undertaking! I admire your ambition.

It sounds incredibly yummy, though! Don’t forget to tell us how it turned out!

How many doves fly out of it?

I thought it was 4 and 20 blackbirds.

Let’s not forget this one from a few months back:

May I suggest throwing in a few small but tasty animals, two by two, so that you could call it a “Noah’s Ark”?

Came out great. The duck was the big hit. I carved half the beast but had to go back and get more duck.
