I'm not giving up my seat

Tons of people don’t get diagnosed until they are adolescents or even adults.

You are actually helping me here, so thanks.

Seriously, if we put things that you wrote as a teenager up here, how flattering would it be to you?

FWIW, a discussion in the bar tonite had the majority siding with Mlle.

Is your first name Alex? Because if so, I know you from SL. And I love you because you are trying to learn and grow. But, because I do love you and know that you are a kid, I am going to smack you down a little bit.

Your debating points aren’t working very right now. I know that you think that you look all witty and smart, but actually, you are the one keeping this thread alive.

There are times in life when you should just walk away. Both of you should just walk away. Maybe go and look at kitten and puppy pics or something.

Yes, and they all seem to be the ones who are heaping shit onto mademoiselle.

And in the mean time they go around bragging how fantastic their written vocabulary skills are, and how they’ve been praised as an “exceptional writer” and excelled in “English/Creative disciplines.”

Come on. The quotes are verbatim. What are we to make of this, really? It’s a lying, steaming pile of dog shit.

Umm, no. They are the ones who feel that denying a common courtesy to a stranger is somehow making a stand. It isn’t. It’s just plain assholish.

I don’t think you can get any more succinct than this.

And quite a few if them were throwing insults at her and calling her an asshole back in IMHO. I realize it’s now in the Pit, but back there, they were the ones who were acting like unsocialized dogs.

Is mean old lady one of those people who try and act tough on the Internet because their real life is so pathetic?

Not at all. I can’t speak for her directly, but she’s a good person who has her head screwed on just right. And I would love to have a drink with her sometime. Sighhh…

She doesn’t have her head screwed on right if she thinks that refusing to move from your seat at the movies when there are other free seats around is a sign of asshole behavior.

No. I agree with her. Completely.

If message board trolling doesn’t work out for you, you should try to get a job as an audience member in an infomercial. You’ve got a real knack for delivering passionate dialogue in an unconvincing way!

From now on I’ll keep my buffer seat by telling telling them it is a seat for my girlfriend with Leukemia, and when she doesn’t show up I’ll say I was online hoaxed.
Bwaahahaha your buffer shaming has backfired, You have given me reason to plan out my next refusal to move. I am guaranteed a buffer seat until I die, and you are all accomplices.

I respect her opinion (and Leaffan’s) that they see it as assholish behavior. I don’t agree, but I respect their opinion. However, calling her an asshole and dickish when the thread originated in IMHO where people are expected to remain civil exhibits assholery of a higher level. I realize it’s in the Pit now, where anything goes, and it doesn’t ruffle my feathers, but it didn’t start here. MOL seemed to go out of her way to be extra bitchy. And Bob Ducca went out of his way to say he didn’t give a shit about it at all, and was being a douchebag just for the lulz. What a pathetic way to entertain yourself. It’s like masturbating in hopes that God will kill a bunch of kittens. And, Leaffan, if you think the essays that mademoiselle wrote ten years ago are “comedy gold,” you must be hard up for real comedy. All I can say is the level of assholery in this thread is staggering, and it isn’t coming from mademoiselle.

Why is it a sign of asshole behavior?

snip.

You are a total ass.

This thread isn’t trolling, it is a bunch of people bullying someone who wants to exercise their constitutional right to refuse to move themselves from their seat.

Why is she an ass?
