Boxty? Hey, I have a video game (Rune Factory Frontier) where you can cook and one of the things to cook is called boxty. I’d never heard of it before. I guessed from the ingredients that it was a strange name for okonomiyaki. But I now see they are some kind of extremely non-kosher latkes?
They don’t have be extremely non-kosherlink they’re just better that way.
I know the best gyouza place in town. Mmmmm… And they’re cheap!
I also put it on pizza. (And darn near everything.) I love the stuff.
I make my own spicy peanut sauce by mixing peanut butter and hot sauce. It’s excellent on pot stickers.
Other people think it’s weird, but I don’t care. It’s delicious.
I pour lots of sauce on my gyoza, and I always bite the end off and redip, so that all the yummy sauce can get inside. And then, when all the gyoza are gone, I drink all the sauce that’s left on the plate! In my own home, that is.
When I made gyoza with my preschool class they wouldn’t listen to me that they should go play because the gyoza were still being cooked. They all just sat at the table, staring at their empty plates and clamoring “Are they ready yet? Are they ready yet?” So to stall and quiet them, I set out some bowls of dipping sauce, which most of them claimed they didn’t like, and I suggested they could taste it by dipping their fingers in. (I know, we’re real sanitary. But they had supposedly just washed their hands.) As soon as my back was turned they somehow ingested all the dipping sauce. Then they started clamoring for more of that!
I’ve never had a potsticker by that or any other name. I am starting to think maybe I’m the abnormal one!
I didn’t know that sardines like to eat ice cream.
