I wish to debate this no further. My father is a theologian and I called him up on this one. He said that the debate could lead on forever. This has gone on for years between smarter people than us. I call it a truce and lets end it here. No good can come out of this type of religious argument.
We can stop arguing. I’d like to point out, that only one side was smarter than us though. 
Also, some good can come out of it _maxx. It can help you crystalize and clarify your own views on religion at the one end, and help to clear up misconceptions for the participants involved and for people on the sidelines at the other end.
