One of my wife’s best friends died a few hours ago. She was a wonderful, generous and hard-working woman, loyal to her family and friends, and will leave an empty spot in my wife’s heart. Her body is being driven to our home village as I write. My wife just drove off to help attend the needs of the grieving.
As she went to the car, my wife noticed a snake slithering in the exact place where she saw the large scorpion three days ago. She suspects this snake came to bring some message.
I’m of a more scientific prejudice and am familiar with the mathematics and illusions of coincidence. Still, I’ve seen other strange coincidences here and sometimes wonder if Hamlet was right:
“There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.”
