Update: I had the screening for GD this morning, and I don’t have it.
I’m quite relieved. I’m needle-phobic, and low-carb diets tend to make my depression worse.

Good for you. Wasn’t the glucose drink a treat?
It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. The Girlfriends Guide makes it sound like it would be something really disgusting. It wasn’t something I’d seek out by any means, and it did make me feel a bit nauseous, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I’ve eaten and drunk lots of worse things (comes from growing up in a family with lots of poor to mediocre cooks).
The baby seemed to like it, though. She kicked a lot after I drank it, even though her normal pattern is not to be so active in the mornings. I am hoping that pattern continues after she is born. If she is a night person, she’d fit in well with me and Mr. Neville. I’m pretty sure she’ll eventually get to hear my opinion of people who think morning people are somehow morally superior to night people :dubious:, too.
Remember that. If she gets into a painful position later on, sugary drinks are the ticket to move her around. LOL!
Congrats!!
