Possibly, but so far a multi-national search effort has only turned up a few random body parts that clearly do not belong to Franco. Tomorrow, if the weather cooperates, they’re going to try a new area, based on some interesting satellite data that just came in.
I don’t watch fox news, but CNN is all MH370 and MSNBC is all bridgegate. I assume foxnews is still benghazi and the affordable care act.
It gets old to hear them say ‘this time we found some wreckage’ only to have it be more trash.
On the bright side, we all now know what a dead jellyfish looks like.
In the news business, you just have to find your niche and stick with it no matter what until it stops selling. It is good thing that nothing else is going else worldwide or even in the U.S. right now otherwise there wouldn’t be any space left to cover these when we have those types of pressing questions left unanswered - inquiring minds want to know.
If things weren’t happening in:
[ol]
[li]Ukraine[/li][li]Libya[/li][li]The Korean Peninsula[/li][li]Washington State (The landslide)[/li][li]The LA Basin ( earthquakes)[/li][li]The US economy (Still terrible)[/li][/ol]
I might be more amenable to hearing about MH370.
However,an aircraft crashed and they are looking for it and likely will be for the next few years. After a week, the story is old news ( at least here in the US as only three Americans were on board) and there’s not much reason to lead a newscast with it.
I am sorry. I have no idea what you are talking about. There are only four pressing issues in the world right now and I know because I listen to several news channels.
In rank order, they are:
- The missing MH370 airliner
- Issues with the ObamaCare website.
- Global Climate Change that may or may not cause some catastrophic warming, localized cooling, sea-level rise, drought or excessive rainfall in the next 1 - 100 years.
- New, possibly shocking revelations, on Hillary Clinton’s role in Benghazigate
I am not saying that some of the things you list didn’t happen or that they aren’t important to someone somewhere but let’s keep things in perspective. I trust highly paid news agencies to tell me what is actually important over a rank amateur like yourself.
You seem to have forgotten:
[ol]
[li]Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s “conscious uncoupling.”[/li][li]The drunken Secret Service agent in The Netherlands[/li][li]The upcoming Kimye nuptials[/li][/ol]
Please let’s get things in order….
I only dislike the commercialization of the tragedy, and because it defies all attempts at simulation.
That’s right, I’m sick of these money-chucking reports about this model-flouting plane!
Click Still dead.
Click Still dead.
Click Still dead.
Click Damn, still dead.
I remember in early September 2001 that CNN was “Condit News Network”, your 24/7 channel for shady US Congressman murder theories and gossip. That changed a few days later… And Gary Condit suddenly no longer mattered.
Not to worry, CNN is already covering how sick you are of hearing about that plane:
Which reminds me: When the Oklahoma City bombing happened, my first thought was, “So, how long will this bump the OJ trial from the top of the news?” The answer? Two days.
Around that time, Newsweek mentioned that the sequestered jurors had all media censored to remove references to OJ, and one letter-writer asked where he could subscribe to that service. I also read about a reporter whose preschooler recognized OJ before she recognized Bill Clinton.
I had the same feeling. I got to the point where I thought, “I hope we have some big REAL news story to knock this out of the headlines.”
I didn’t want a story THAT big. :smack:
You have to remember that that old saying about “may you live in interesting times” was not a blessing, but a curse.
I’ve recently heard that sort of situation referred to as a “prayer the devil answers.” I rather like that turn of phrase. In djinn stories, it’s usually phrased as “be careful what you wish for”, but the other’s more colorful.
I’m sick of seeing new threads about that plane (MH370).
Hey!
WhatsamattaU!
We heard that the 13 year old is still sleeping! But improving!
Monty Python just can’t keep up with reality.
“Still dead?” “No, just sleeping!”
Hah, reminds me of January 20, 1994:
Lead story on the CTV National News: another trivial non-development in the then-interminable Nancy Kerrigan / Tonya Harding saga.
Second story on the CTV National News: Oh, by they way, there was a nationwide failure of wireless communications today when both of the ANIK-E satellites independently suffered failures. Just thought we’d mention it, kthxbye…

MH370 is a good diversion for the MSM to have in order to not have to say anything about Obama.
What do you think they should be saying about Obama?
