I checked, and the story is 100% accurate. Except for that first sentence.
Despite a global trend of warming climate
There has been no global warming trend since 1997, or 1995, depends on the data set used.
But every last data set shows cooling since 2002.
This doesn’t change the long term trend (since the little ice age there is no doubt the world has warmed). It just means now there is no warming trend.
And “now” is where people actually live and work. It’s interesting that the cooling since 2002 shows up clearly in the Alaska climate record. The stations near the Bering Sea show a much larger drop in temperatures, which mirrors the increasing ice in the Bering Sea.

Of course since it’s cooling, it doesn’t mean anything.
If Alaska showed a warming trend since 2000, you would see it repeated over and over. Global warming.

On that we certainly agree. It’s why somebody taking a record hot day for a city and saying it is global warming is stupid.
Looking at the CLIMATE data and noting the long term trend is cooling, that is science. Noting that a two day period in Athens Georgia was the coldest ever recorded, that is not a matter of opinion or conclusion. It’s just a fact.
Looking at the long term climate data for Athens, and noting it is colder now than it was a hundred years ago, that is a fact.
Using that to say the NH is colder would be ridiculous. Looking at the climate data for the NH and noting it clearly shows cooling since 2002, using any data set, is a fact. It doesn’t mean there has been no warming since the little ice age. It just means it isn’t warming in the last decade.
Noting that this trend matches the temperature trend in Alaska, that is science. Looking at the entire NH and noting there is a pronounced cooling trend since 1992, for the Boreal winters, that is science.
Actually, long term weather data is how we determine climate. Ignoring it when it shows cooling is stupid. Even the NCDC notes the areas that show long term cooling trends. You can’t just ignore it. Climate change does not mean everywhere will be warmer.
In fact, CO2 theory of global warming predicts, with no wiggle room, that winters in the NH should warm faster than anything else. It’s PHYSICS bitch.
Warmer winters, a warming arctic, they are two key predictions for GhGs caused climate change. It’s why as we waste our time here, climate experts are trying to both figure out why it isn’t happening, and how to “adjust” the climate models to make them show this.
It’s a serious problem for alarmists. Exactly why, after many years of worse winters, they started claiming colder winters were also due to global warming.

Does that alone mean much? Nope, just weather. Until you look at the long term CLIMATE DATA and find it shows a cooling trend for Georgia. Both for November, and for the yearly temperature.
Then it is climate data. If the climate of Georgia had become much warmer, then record cold would be just weather. When it matches the trend, it’s confirmation of the trend. It’s not even unexpected. (unless you believe the MsM bullshit of course)
Florida clearly shows the same thing. December trend for the last 100 years, -.2 degrees colder. January, -2.2 degrees colder. February, - .9 degrees. It’s a fact that winters in Florida are colder, not warmer. Does that mean Florida is somehow immune to global warming? Nope. The 100 year trend shows .2 degrees F warming.
How the fuck does that happen? Because the rest of the year shows WARMING. That’s right, clear warming trends. except for Winter Florida has warmed. But that bitch of a colder winter trend (-1.2 degrees a century) makes it look like Florida hasn’t warmed much.
Here’s the thing. Looking at the data, it’s obvious that colder winters are the problem. Not just for Georgia and Florida, but the entire NH yearly record is being skewed by the cold winters. Fuck, if winter temps just had stayed the same, we would see global warming for the last decade.
Instead of a slight cooling.

The unexpected rapid melting of sea ice, (not predicted either), has led to unexpected early heavy snow, which leads to a feedback effect making it much fucking colder, with more snow, in the NH winters.
It’s the closest you will see to anyone admitting the models were completely wrong about winters, and shit is going down in completely unexpected ways.

Well that’s certainly an … interesting…interpretation of that article.
The article proposes a new variable to the global warming model by correlating the effects of variability of snow cover (caused by increased high-latitude humidity which was itself caused by global warming) on Northern Hemisphere land masses on the Arctic Oscillation. Basically, increased snow cover one winter encourages a negative AO for the following winter, causing the Arctic air to push further south in the winter in some areas and therefore you get colder winters in those places.
Why you think this somehow refutes Gigobuster’s arguments is beyond me…well, no, actually, it’s fairly evident that it’s because you’re stupid.

Nobody has ever read a single instance where I claimed climate change isn’t real, isn’t happening (in some areas), or that our huge amount of CO2 increase, from fossil fuels, from turning vast expanses of forests into grassland, or toilet paper, from cement making, hasn’t altered the atmospheric chemistry.
Same for my concerns over fucking up the oceans, by too much CO2, by destroying reefs, by overfishing and pollution, by giant oil spills and such.
