I'm Sorry But Chicks Look Better With Makeup

I think it depends on the woman. Some do in fact look better without it. Others look better with a little help. I try for the “can’t tell it’s there but hopefully I look better” look.

And personally I don’t care what “the guys” think. I dress and wear makeup to look as I want me to look.

I also think you making the generalization that your pal keeps his girlfriend without makeup is terribly chauvinistic. The idea that a “chick” conforms to her man’s every whim is a tad outdated.

Well, here’s where everyone gets mad at me again, Bill, but I’ll say it.

I love to wear makeup, and I’m sure I look much better with it than without it. POSITIVE. Without make up I have an uneven skin tone, you can’t see my eyelashes and my lips are pale. I spend a lot of money on make up and I think it makes me look very nice.

Also, I use the word chick about 1,000 times a day in reference to women.

I think it depends on the woman. I know a woman who is beautiful without makeup and absolutely frightful with it. The opposite also holds true for other women. To me the makeup issue has alot to do with skin tone and hair color and making it all ‘work’. If you happen to be born with the right combination then plase don’t screw it up by adding makeup. I think most American women could do with some makeup but much less than what is the norm. I am sitting here staring at a woman from India who is wearing absolutely NO makeup looks totally HOT and am thinking if she added anything it would be a mistake.

Jesus, you’re married?

You don’t, uh, you’re not planning, um… Oh, the hell with it. Of course you are.

Wait a minute… Does this mean that all women are not exactly alike, and that sweeping generalizations like “Chicks look better with makeup” are totally meaningless? Wow, I had no idea. My mind is, like, completely blown.

I agree. I don’t wear eye makeup because it seldom looks natural. We weren’t meant to have blue or green eyelids…And Bill, given that there are those of us who do strive for “the natural look,” meaning we only use it to even out our complexions etc, how would you know for sure if a woman was wearing any or not? My best friend, a guy, decided to root around in my purse to annoy me while I was driving, and was shocked that I had makeup in my purse. " But you don’t wear any!" he exclaimed. “I’m wearing makeup now, you dork.” He was surprised, to say the least.

Add me to the I-hate-makeup crowd. I’ve had serious arguments with girlfriends over this very issue. Once in a while I see some well-done lipstick that adds a bit of “whoa!” to a woman’s looks, but I’d still be attracted to her without it. In general, I hate it. I like natural. Hell, I didn’t mind when I dated a woman who never shaved her legs or pits. It wasn’t a turn-on, but it wasn’t a turn-off, either.

I’m just chiming in to back up my buddy mouthbreather. Having met his lovely girlfriend, I can confirm that she looks great, with no makeup required.

Also count me in as preferring women who wear little or no makeup. I cannot bear the spackled-on look.

I too have had arguments with girlfriends about this. One had the cutest freckles, which she inisted on covering with heavy makeup. Alas, I never convinced her to do otherwise, even in casual settings.

I wear a bit of peach, brown and greyish eye make up. Earth tones.

However, I HAVE been known to wear glitter on my face, just for fun!

NAIL POLISH, on the other hand…love wearing weird nailpolish!

mouthbreather, I don’t mean all women wear make up that you can’t tell-I’m just saying a tiny bit doesn’t hurt me. Hell, I at LEAST want to cover up my zits!

Mr. Seawitch likes me better without makeup. With him it seems to be a taste issue, though; he likes to lick my face. I can only surmise that he was a St. Bernard in a former life.

Damn, I’m never the normal one in the crowd.

Ooooohhh narly. Where you from France or something girls that don’t shave their underarms are NAAASSSSTTTYYY!!!

Eve,

While I am very flattered, I don’t want to lose HALF of everything.

Well, not all of us who like make up necessarily spackle it on. Some of us learned how to use it correctly.

Oh Mouthbreather,

After what you and spoke had to say maybe your chick is one of those rare exceptions to the rule. So you are not insecure or anything. Keep her make up IS expensive.

This confirms what we have long suspected.

Wildest Bill really is Jim Baker! Bill, give our love to Tammy Faye!

Oh jarbabyj,

Thanks for your honest comments. You are one COOL chick!

I don’t like makeup. I look like Bozo-the-Clown when I put it on. When I used to wear makeup, I’d forget I was wearing it and rub my eyes and cheeks smearing eyeshadow and blush everywhere. Yuck. And then trying to clean that crap off my face. I never felt like I completely got it off. In fact I’m pretty sure I didn’t.

If women want to wear makeup, more power to them though. This lazy LADY–ain’t no baby fowl around here–ain’t doing it though.

Little to no makeup preference here. I much prefer a natural look. Maybe a little makeup (if that) for work or going out to the opera. No makeup for camping or hiking. Lord help you if you wear makeup while camping.

I can attest that BunnyGirl looks damn fine without makeup.

Wildest Bill

Yes. And she was pretty damn ugly anyway.

um thanks. I think everyone else is being honest here as well…um…

I’m a little nervous about Bill thinking I’m cool

MRs. RickJay is a master in the judicious use of makeup. When the opccasion calls for it, she just uses the right types and amounts and it accentuates her features. Half the time I barely notice there’s makeup there - she just looks glamourous, somehow.

And jarbaby, everyone thinks you’re cool.
