I'm starting a blog? Really?

Yeah! Until quite recently, I’ve had absolutely zero interest in doing any blogging. I can’t stand reading about the trivial happenings of other people’s boring lives, so why would anyone want to read about mine? However, I decided to spice up my life with a musical quest: to practice guitar for 1000 hours in the next year. There are all sorts of fun life lessons to be learned along the way, so creating a blog just seemed to be the most natural way to help gather my thoughts.

If for some bizarre reason any of this sounds interesting to any dopers out there, here’s the first post. I’ve been told by close friends that my writing style accurately captures the way that I talk about things in real life, but I’m quite curious to know how it reads for those who have never met me. Any and all feedback would be appreciated. Cheers!

I admit I do not have any interest in playing guitar, but I do like the stories that are found in the first paragraphs of each post. Especially the latter post, where you tie the opening paragraph and the closing paragraph together with the mountain story.

Also, don’t forget to comment on other guitar lovers’ blogs to help get your traffic up.
