I got caught up in Angry Birds. I tried the free version, on a lark (heh). Two days later I bought the app. I have been stuck on a level for five days, and it’s making me crazy. I even downloaded a free Angry Birds Walkthrough to cheat. Maddenly enough, it says this level can be solved with just three of the four birds offered! I even tried buying an Eagle to just get me thru the damn level, but it doesn’t seem to work on an iPod Touch. So I turn to the Dope, hoping someone can help me get past this damned level.
The stats:
World 1:Poached Eggs-Theme 2
Level 2-9
1 Black bird, 1 Blue bird, 1 Yellow bird & 1 more Black bird
Help?!?!!
Here’s this way:
It’s for 3 stars, which is a little harder to do.
An easier way I think is just to arc the first black bird so I lands in the “V” space between the bricks and the wall. That should clear enough blocks that you can fire a yellow bird down in there (and if that doesn’t kill him the last bomb bird should.)
The easier way worked. Thank you!!!
Is Angry Birds only available for the iPod and is there a PC version?
Angry Birds is available for the iPod/iPhone, Android and Symbian but I believe a PC version is in the making. I enjoy it on my Android phone but I think it works best on a smaller tablet like the Galaxy Tab.
I really hope the make a sequel soon. I’ve gotten three stars on every level, including the Halloween and Christmas versions. My life is a little empty right now.
I downloaded the lite version this Christmas and I’ve gotten 3 starts on every level but the last where I have 2. Is the full version more challenging or is it just more of the same?
This is my question, too. I’ve played Crush the Castle 1 and 2, but this looks quirkier and better.
Why not computer version yet?
Because then it would drive more people insane.
I don’t just swear when playing Angry Birds. I invent new profanities.
Angry Birds was just released on PS3. Heaven help me, and my messy house.
It’s also available for Windows and Mac now as well. So no one has an excuse not to play it.
I started playing it yesterday. It’s cute.
Angry Birds has made me swear on more than one occasion, and I’ve been tempted to arc my damn phone across the room. Yes, some levels are Nintendo Hard. I love how the app is so cheap and they keep putting out new content.
Is it me or are the Christmas levels particularly hard?
It’s you. I actually thought the Halloween levels were harder than the Christmas ones.
No, the Christmas ones are devilishly hard. You get less birds to work with than normal, and the usual tactic of going low to collapse a structure doesn’t work on snow blocks, which magically stay in the air by themselves. Halloween was tough to 3-star, but relatively easy to just get through.
I’ve played through the full version of Angry Birds and yeah the Christmas levels are kicking my ass. Halloween isn’t bad so far.
Yeah, those snow blocks suck. Usually it’s a matter of knocking loose some boulder at the top of a level to get rid of the snow. On the upside, most of the levels, once you figure out how to beat them, are really easy to get three stars on.
I just got the Mac version from the Apple app store, and I’m on the beginner level. The weird thing is the complete absence of any documentation. Is there something somewhere that it least tells you how the scoring works? What to expect at higher levels? Or is it all supposed to be completely intuitive (it isn’t)?
You’ll figure it out. Basically the more stuff you knock down the more points you get. And you get 10,000 points for each bird you have left over. So knock down as much stuff and get all the pigs with the least birds possible. Each level seems to have it’s own score thresholds for 2 and 3 stars (I guess you’ll always get one for beating it.)
