The kids are sterling. They both are understandably upset being faced with their father’s mortality. They cope by being OVER-controlling with him.

Then he turns on me. That’s the natural order of things, you know.

I do have the capacity to run myself into the ground. However, God has blessed me with this pinched nerve in my neck. I can only do so much before the neck pain slams on the brakes.

Both kids have really come through, though, and they have spouses of pure gold.

It’s very very hard to relinquish some of your self sufficiency to accept help from someone. Especially if the person is your junior. Believe me, I know.
Tell the kids to be gentle bossing him around. There are ways to help someone without making them feel like a child.
It’ll get easier.
