They’re making the mistake of favoring flash over content. Thus the graphics all over the place, because it looks flashy. The most important thing about an entry is the list of credits, not videos and photos of the stars.
Oh, I hatehatehate it. Horrible
What’s funny about it is that I didn’t like the OLD design. It was cheap and crappy - probably the worst design of any site used as much as IMDB is.
Incredibly, it’s now worse. That took some planning.
I don’t like the new design at all. The old design was a little clunky but this new design is not helpful at all.
Maybe this is the New Coke version and they are planning another redesign that will be marginally better than the old but look great compare to this new version. 
Don’t even get me started on Google. If there was a good clutterfree alternative (you know, like how google was a few years ago), I’d say goodbye to Google in a heartbeat.
