I just recently remembered that I loved the one Immaculate Fools record that I bought in the mid-1980s. It was called Dumb Poet. I enjoyed it immensely, and have recently listened to it again and again.
I’d like to purchase it on CD, but couldn’t find it on amazon. I did, however, find three other I-Fools CDs there, including The Toy Shop, Kiss and Punch and Woodhouse, an all-acoustic album.
I love this music! It’s folksy, with very English singing and expanded instrumentation. I believe they flopped in the U.S. and hit it big in Europe, but haven’t been too strong as of late.
Who else loves these guys?
