I have a good friend who is considering immigrating to the States, and I was just wondering what process you went through to move here from Canada. I think that she and her hubby will be moving here permanently.

Your question is fairly open ended. Have they already made plans to come here under a specific visa? I think it is difficult, even for Canadians, to just decide that they want to move to the US permanently. Typically you would need a company to sponsor you or have very close family ties, and I think even with these options the visa demand outstrips the supply by a large amount.
