I have only just noticed this little sticker on my computer keyboard that reads as follows:
Of course!! It’s all so simple when you understand how…
Grim

On the back of my keyboard there is a short blurb about warding-off carpal tunnel syndrome with good posture. This in itself is not particularly interesting. However, there is a hilarious little blockman (like on bathroom signs) illustration of a person typing using incorrect posture and he has these huge electrical-looking sparks flying out of his wrists. I wish I could shoot red bolts of electricity from my wrists. Maybe this carpal tunnel thing ain’t so bad…
What?! My Dell keyboard doesn’t say that! All it says is “Warning: improper or prolonged keyboard use may result in injury.” There’s no safety and comfort guide! Why didn’t I get a safety and comfort guide? Doesn’t Dell care about my safety and comfort?
Okay…Fine…I’m just going to go now. Maybe I can find someone to hug me sniff
Mine’s got a long blurb about various musculoskeletal disorders, including carpal tunnel syndrome. It refers me to a “Healthy Computing Guide” on the CD-rom that came with the keyboard.
Hmmm. My keyboard says
!@#$%^&*()_+
1234567890-=
qwertyuiop[]\
asdfghjkl;'
zxcvbnm,./
Damned if I can figure out what it means.
::hugs laura’s CTS ridden wrists::
There’s no warning at all on my Gateway 2000 keyboard!
Otoh, there is a note that the cover and base are made of recyclable plastic (#6).
