In the wake of the Manchester bombing, this poisonous creature has taken to twitter to publicly call for genocide. In a contemptible effort to backtrack, it claims its call for a “final solution” was a typo. I suggest that due to its high profile, it be made an example of and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
I’m not a lawyer, but a quick googling suggests that a case could be made for incitement to religious hatred, section 29b of the Public Order Act 1986 carrying a maximum penalty of 7 years imprisonment.
I’d say when someone has a column in a national newspaper, they’ve moved past “attention-seeking troll”. They have attention. They have a platform. The correct way to shut them down is legal persecution.
Exactly, she’s not saying these things in Youtube comments. She’s publishing them to a readership of millions. Her comments may seem absurd to any reasonable person, but she has genuine devotees who take her completely at face value. She succeeds in whipping up real hatred and seems positively gleeful at the actual misery she causes innocent people. Troll or no troll, it’s about time she faced some consequences.
Ah, yes. The National Socialistic solution from our German friend. The ideals of free speech and a free press still elude you. The way that you happily demonize people you disagree with would make your grandparents proud.
Ftr i dont agree with or approve of her comments, just her rights to speak them. Calling for her death and using the power of the government to persecute speech are more stupid than she is.
