In a state with legal recreational cannabis, could a bar sell edibles?

Page 8, “(6) The department shall charge a dispensary license fee for an initial application and at each
renewal. The dispensary license fee is $5,000 for each location that a licensee operates as an adult-use
dispensary or a medical marijuana dispensary.”

That’s the state fee. You still have business license, taxes, city fees, etc.

So to answer the OP’s question, there is no reason a State couldn’t allow bars to sell cannabis products, but no State has done so.

I don’t think that that’s true. Some States expressly forbid it and would have to change the laws.

And the liquor license deal is complex. The Tavern Owners Association is very powerful, and has basically lobbied to cap the number of liquor licenses, so it’s akin to the NYC cab situation. You can’t get a new license, so you have to buy an existing one. Very expensive.
