No, I wasn’t even aware of that later remark.

I just don’t think the context of Biden’s remark within the speech matters very much. Most people won’t read the entire speech anyhow. But, a headline like, “Chairman of Senate Foreign Relations Committee calls US ‘High-tech bully’” would tend to attack the country’s unity. And, that statement could be used by our enemies for propaganda.

Not that it really matters, but Biden’s context seems somewhat confused. He says that the US isn’t a high-tech bully, right after he had just said that as long as the US continues the air campaign we ARE behaving like a high-tech bully. (“I’m not a high-tech bully; I just play one on TV.” )

I read an article, written before this statement, that criticized Biden for sometimes talking before he had fully thought out his position. This may have been such an instance. I wouldn’t be surprised if Biden now regrets having made the statement.

Now that I think about it, we have had two Bush presidents and two wars in the middle east during those administrations. We have had two Clinton administrations where the biggest crisis was fellatio in the president’s private study off the oval office.

So the real choice here is whether we want no crisis or fellatio. Do I have that right Zogby?

Uh, right; not to mention it would be factually incorrect. But since the context in which Biden used the phrase is unimportant, I guess accuracy is unimportant as well, eh?

Boy, I just wanna pound that Ronald Reagan for calling America the “Great Satan” back in the 80’s! I mean, who cares if he was just telling us how we were viewed in certain areas of the world; he used a phrase our enemies could exploit for propoganda. Naughty, naughty Ronnie.

So the Oklahoma City bombing was a mass hallucination? Or was that not horrible enough to qualify as a “crisis”?
