“This stopped clock is right twice a day, therefore it is worth considering its views on what the time is.”
“Russian security issues” is a bullshit concern. There is no threat to Russian sovereignty from the west. The “threats,” as they are, consist of neighboring nations becoming more democratic.
Nope. Russia is entirely on the wrong on all sides.
Nope, that is Russia.
Nope, Russia is the bad guy.
Russia is the only one using another country as their battlefield.
Stop trying to blame others for this. It is 100% and entirely on Russia for this war. Fuck Russia. Stop blaming others. No one forced Russia to invade a sovereign country.
Russia could clean up the corruption in Russia and become more democratic and then they needn’t see NATO or the other countries around them as a threat.
That’s a choice Russia could make.
Often the level of democracy is not an issue as to being considered a threat.
At the high level of the largest military/economic countries. It is very complex. A lot of strange bedfellows. A lot of obvious ones.
A democratically elected government can be deemed a direct military or more indirect economic, political threat. It often happens. Often they are deposed by questionable means.
Too often a country is just told it has to obey or be disrupted.
There is the saying, diplomacy is just warfare by other means. There are a lot of other means. And a lot of other reasons to conduct all the various means of warfare.
It is very difficult for the average person to figure out why a lot of things happen on the world stage. I just try and make best guesses to try and see if it is time for me personally to duck and cover.
The above post. Is word salad. Or possibly total bullshit. I don’t know. It is all very complex. I am just making guesses.
Putin has stated publicly why he invaded Ukraine - because he doesn’t think it’s a real country or ethnicity, and has always been and should still be part of Russia.
The actual quote is ‘War is the continuation of policy with other means.’ That is, war is the continuation of diplomacy; not diplomacy is the continuation of war.
In this case, there was no diplomacy because Putin was set on conquest.
Yep. More of the same of always trying to justify Russia being a country ran be evil assholes. It’s always someone else’s fault. It’s so complicated. Etc etc etc. All BULLSHIT.
It’s very simple: Russia needs to get the fuck out of Ukraine. Full stop.
An official message from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine:
Their social media game is on target.
Glorious news comrads! Army of Russia now so skilled at retreating that not one man, weapon or single unit of military equipment lost in retreat from Kherson!
Russia’s defence ministry said all Russian forces and equipment had been transferred to the eastern bank of the Dnipro. It said the withdrawal was completed by 5 a.m. Moscow time (0200 GMT) on Friday.
“The transfer of Russian troop units to the left bank of the Dnipro river has been completed,” the defence ministry said in a statement.
“Not a single unit of military equipment or weapons have been left on the right (western) bank. All Russian servicemen crossed to the left bank,” it added. Russia, it said, had not suffered any loss of personnel or equipment during the withdrawal.
Is clearly truth, and any video footage of abandoned vehicles, weapons, ammunition and supplies are western lies to undermine morale! Truth that nothing left behind in hasty two-day retreat is from same source that told truth of glorious cruiser Moskva sinking in storm after accidental fire but all crew safely evacuated and accounted for. Any stories noting lack of storm in Black Sea at time of sinking, claim that Ukrainian missiles hit Moskva, eyewitness claims of 200 injured sailors in Sevastopol hospitals, or follow ups admitting that one man died and 27 missing are blatant western lies. TASS reported Defense Ministry said sank in storm, no one lost, must be truth!
“During the towing of the Moskva cruiser to the designation port, the ship lost stability due to hull damage, sustained during the detonation of ammunition because of a fire. Amid the heavy storm, the ship sank,” the Ministry said.
The Ministry underscored that the crew was evacuated to nearby Black Sea Fleet ships, as was announced earlier.
Earlier on Thursday, Russian Defense Ministry reported that Black Sea Fleet missile cruiser Moskva sustained serious damage after a detonation of ammunition, caused by an onboard fire. The Ministry said that the crew was evacuated to nearby Black Sea Fleet ships, adding that the cause of the incident is being determined.
On a related note, it’s quite funny to look at TASS’ news reports from the end of February and see how they’ve aged. Some examples from Feb 25:
Russian troops welcomed with flags in Ukraine’s Melitopol - Military & Defense - TASS
The Russian Defense Ministry reassured that Russian troops are not targeting Ukrainian cities, but are limited to surgically striking and incapacitating Ukrainian military infrastructure.
Zelensky accepts Putin’s proposal, ready for peace talks - World - TASS
The 27th:
The civilian population is not at risk, the Defense Ministry said
Kiev mayor says Ukrainian capital is encircled - World - TASS
And the 28th:
That post looks like it was written by Tan the Conman. So, of course, that bolsters my theory that TtC merely mouthed what Putin wrote for him.
There is also the saying, eat shit and fuck off, you worthless sack of pus.
I was thinking, “So, we shouldn’t trust them across the table, either.”
Well, I’ll be damned; Twitter is good for something. Someone left this message for Kedikat.
For reasons that only make sense to me, I enjoy reading the comments sections on Breitbart. Usually they are predictable, but the pro-Russian, anti-Ukraine take of these people has surprised me. Most of the comments make Kedikat appear perfectly reasonable by comparison. Is this just a case of Biden is bad, so anyone he supports must be bad, support for autocratic leader, or something I am missing entirely?
How many of the comments come from Russia?
No way to know of course, but if they are Russians, they are trolls that also comment on non-Ukraine related articles.
In right-wing media circles one often finds 1) actual Russian trolls; 2) Americans who are paid to be Russian propagandists; and 3) people who simply believe and are repeating the pro-Russian propaganda. There are of course also those who genuinely hold those positions on their own merits, but probably not a high percentage.
