In general, why do most people believe that life is complicated?

“Life” is pretty all-encompassing to the person living that life; what, really, lies outside it?

And in some sense our every thought concerns living our life, whether more directly or indirectly. So we spend some scores of years figuring it out without ever finishing it.

Perhaps there are long stretches of some people’s lives that can function mostly on autopilot. But that’s a kind of choice, not a general quality of life.

As to difficulty, what effort do we ever put forth that does not feed into our life in some sense?

So life takes up all of our figuring out and all of our trying.
