Has anyone else played Starship Titanic? I’ve played and beaten it before, but that was a year ago, with the strategy book. :o Is anyone else doing something for him, like re-reading his books, or playing this game, etc?
I’ve played Titanic. Heck, I’ve even played that text based game of his books on the 486 that was out about 12 years ago. I’ve read all his books and even a book that was a biography of his life. Can’t say I’ve done anything Adamsesk since he became an ex-parrot, though.
I bought Hitchhiker’s Guide, which I never read, and am starting to read it. Good book. Shame Douglas had to die so young…

Enjoy Hitchhiker’s Guide! I was also inspired to read the Hitchhiker series by the great outpouring of feeling after Adams’ death. (Managed to get my little brother hooked, too. :D) I’ve just finished Mostly Harmless. Wonderful, wonderful books.
As far as the OP goes – I participated in Towel Day.
I re-read Last Chance to See and was taking the UC Subject A placement test when I saw the code for my college (UC Santa Cruz) was 42.
This was only signifigant because I had just found out about his death that morning.
