In other news, I bought a vacuum cleaner today...

Yep. I no longer have to borrow one. Just another step in the age-old struggle to better myself and the places around me. I’ve also started to pick up the occasional piece of non-icky newspaper on the subway and popping it in the recycle bin. I figure that if enough people do this, we won’t have to clean as much.

Today I treated my friend to food-court food and a movie and we hung out and did geeky stuff together. It was good.

Maybe tomorrow I’ll buy some sandals. Or an iPhone. Or go to the library, where a book recommended by matt_mcl is waiting. I do need to do laundry, so that’s the first order of business tomorrow morning. And then I can use my new vacuum cleaner while the laundry is going.

Nice!

Sounds like you’re doing well.

But you’re not even going to tell us what kind of vacuum it was? I’ve been longing for a Dyson but can’t justify one. I just came in here to see if I could live vicariously through someone else’s purchase. But even if it wasn’t a Dyson, I’m still interested. Vacuums are good things.

I was pondering a Dyson, but then I found out how much they cost. It’s some nameless brand at a quarter of the cost.

I moved into my apartment about a month ago and bought one of these. It seems to get a lot of stuff out of the carpet.

I bought this one.

Congratulations.

I am so jealous. I really need a new vacuum cleaner. The one I have is old. I mean real old. At least they still make the bags for it even if I can only find them in one place.

I think I would vacumm more often if I had a new vacuum cleaner. I think I would run it everyday. Ahhh who am I kidding. It would still sit in the corner and stare at me.

I have one that’s called Electrolux, but evidently it’s an imposter and there is a court case pending against the company that made it.

It’s just ok. It works, but I’m not thrilled with it. I have yet to find a vacuum cleaner that thrills me. My dad bought one of those really pricey ones and it doesn’t perform any better than mine.

My vacuum (this one, I think) broke last night. (Literally…a piece with wheels attached broke off). I’m hoping it’s still under warranty.

Can I borrow yours?

Seriously, very cool!
