In my time on the SDMB, I have espoused my affection for certain musical artists, movies, books and TV shows. This, however, is the first time I feel compelled to display my appreciation for a kids’ cartoon. Having three young children, I watch a lot of horrendous programming. There are only a few shows that I actually can stand. Peep is one of these shows. If you’re not acquainted, Peep is the story of three bird friends. The title character is a naive baby chick. Chirp is his female baby red robin pal, and Quack is their duck friend. The writing is very clever, the characters interesting, endearing and funny. The show is narrated by Joan Cusack. Quack in particular, is at least as interesting as a main prime time TV character. It’s a show that makes me laugh and I continue to watch when the kids have left the room (hanging my head in shame.) Anyone else a fan?
