I’m so happy the ignore list is a usable feature. Please never disable the function. I’m to the point where I need to use it or leave so I don’t have to see certain poster’s vile spew in every post. God I’m happy this exists. It’s like having a medical rescue kit and is essential at some crisis you hope never happens.

I thought nobody would ever be allowed to be so vile in so many posts for so long as a certain poster. Having just used the ignore list for the first time I can’t express my delight well enough. I only wish it could remove his name too or display it as white so I don’t even have to see it as a clickable link. The guy can’t stay out of anybodies thread and is obnoxious to everyone.

Thanks for the ignore list feature and the grace it bestows the user. It’s going to be better than a handful of Prozac or Valium and you don’t need a prescription.

P.S. When they post in this thread I won’t see it. Yeh!
Better yet I won’t be clicking their name even in this thread.

I’ve not used the Ignore list here but was wondering if there’s a feature to allow you to see an individual post by someone on the list if you want to. I know other boards have that.

Yes, you can see their post if you want to. For kicks, I put you on my list, Siam Sam, and I see this where your post used to be:

This message is hidden because Siam Sam is on your ignore list.

On the right side, there is a “View Post” link. When clicked, your post reappears as it did before.

I have one person on my ignore list. The thing is, s/he always gets quoted in the next post. So I don’t know if it’s doing me any good. Maybe it just serves as a reminder that that person can easily push my buttons.
