In search of the perfect bag

I’m looking for a new bag, but I can’t seem to find the perfect one for my needs.

Here are my requirements:
[ul]Needs to be a backpack. I have a toddler and I’m getting ready to have another baby, so free arms are a must (plus, I’ll probably be slinging or baby bjorning the baby, so the bag needs to be out of the way).[/ul]
[ul]Needs to be able to fit baby gear, matchbox cars (for toddler), my junk (wallet, lipstick, etc.), and possibly a small knitting project or book.[/ul]
[ul]Stylish would be nice (I’m not so much a girly-girl; more into retro or urban stuff)[/ul]
[ul]Washable would be a big plus, but not a necessity.[/ul]
[ul]It doesn’t have to be the cheapest bag on the block (I’m willing to spend for something that’s going to last a long time), but my max would be about $150.
[/ul]
[ul]I need to be able to order it online.[/ul]

Soooo, all you shopping gurus out there, help a girl out.

The Victorinox (Swiss Army) backpacks are amazing, comfy, and pretty much last forever. Mine has lasted through 3 years of lugging heavy books around, anyway. Some models are stylish enough, and look like they’d be able to hold all the stuff you need to carry with you.

I’ll second Victorinox backpacks.

I received one as a gift from work a couple of years ago and gave it to my son to use for school (heavy books as well.)

When we went shopping for backpacks before school began this year my son suggested he use the same one as last year. (Shocking! Usually everything needs to be new, new, new!)

So I threw it in the washing machine and he’s still using it. It’s in great condition and he says it’s the most comfortable backpack he’s ever had.

Those are pretty cool - thanks for the suggestion. I’m going to explore that site more.
