Not for the posh premium channels, at least.
I agree, though, definitely worth 3 hours. Filled the gap nicely while we’ve been waiting for Game of Thrones to start again tonight!

Even I like ITFlesh, and despite being English I usually can’t bear British drama with its tendency to summon a cheesy, anachronistic ‘Blitz Spirit’ whenever the plot demands. I rather like the bleached-out cinematography in this, plus the dark humour.
well, BBC3 have gorn mad and commissioned 5 or 6 more hours of this.
Also, the US dates for the first three hours are now known:
Quite a stir about the The Returned (Les Revenants), the new French zombie/living dead drama that’s started on C4:
I watched this series recently on a long flight and have to say that I was supremely impressed. This is probably one of the best miniseries I’ve ever seen. Man, that emotional scene with his father at the end… My girlfriend cried, and I suppressed my own urge to do the same only through sheer force of will.
Ooo - can’t wait to see this. I loved the ending of Shaun of the Dead where his mate is kept in the garden shed
Just finished watching this last night. I thought it was excellent. It’s nice to see so much quality material put into just three episodes. Contrast this with garbage like Under The Dome which was originally supposed to be thirteen episodes but now is apparently going to be dragged out to another season. Of course, if Under The Dome had only been thirteen episodes it still wouldn’t have been any better.
Anyway, I highly recommend In The Flesh and I’m looking forward to the next episodes.

As I mention above, I’m no great fan of this genre but I’d like to think I recognise high quality drama, of which In The Flesh is a clear example.
But look … if you’re a bit weird about subtitles this is your big chance - The Returned; I’ve just finished it, some may think it better, others less but it’s of the same general standard as ITF.
Really, really worth trying to get into. French, the usual 360 (ish) min series format - no idea if it’s on iTunes of Netflix but there is always the alternative sources …
Most definitely worth a punt:
oh, and music by Mogwai!

It’s back … 3rd May in the UK 10th May on BBCA
I found Shaun’s take on zombie rehabilitation both more entertaining and more realistic. In the Flesh was actually pretty heavy-handed and it… just… kept… getting… heavier…
