In the spirit of finale threads past: How do you want your favourite shows to end?

We’ve had best finales. We’ve had worst finales. We’ve had what you’d like to see in a Simpsons finale.

I don’t think we’ve had this one. (Unashamedly borrowing from another board.)

So…When your favourite shows finally end, how do you want to see them go out?

My entry. My ideal closer for Teen Titans.

The Titans finally take down Slade in a 2-episode long showdown, where all their abilities - mental, physical and magical - are brought to bear to flush him, reveal his identity, and ship him off to whichever facility they get the kickbacks from (Batman’s payed by Arkham, and Superman by Starr Labs, you see*.) - and they’re shocked to discover he was Batman giving his old protege and his buddies a test (hey, it could happen…ok, it couldn’t, but it’d be cool).

Robin permanently adopts his Red X costumed persona and finally gets together with Starfire. Likewise, Beast Boy (who most emphatically does NOT adopt the name Changeling) gets together with Raven (I think they make a cute couple shrug), while Cyborg discovers a new use for his Gamestation’s ports*.

  • These parts are jokes. The rest I’m serious about. Yes, even the Slade is Batman bit. Eh, bite me.

The Shield-Shane is killed in the line of duty, Aceveda is forced to resign in disgrace and committs suicide, Claudette is promoted to assistant chief, Dutch becomes Captain and runs Farmington precint, Julian can’t resolve his sexuality with his religion and committs suicide, Vic reunites with his wife and kids and moves to Montana where he lives on the proceeds from the Money Train without attracting attention. The other two strike team members move to Mexico to do the same.
