This time it was a piece of mizithra cheese (not as big a chunk as I usually see, thank God), for ten hours, in summer warmth.
Since I don’t have much experience with mizithra and its ilk, I have no knowledge to draw on. Any would be appreciated. It wouldn’t be a huge loss, but I’d still feel like a moron.
It’ll be fine. It might get moldy a little faster than it would have if it was in the fridge, but you can safely cut mold off most hard and semi-soft cheese and eat the rest.
I agree with Athena, and think it’s probably fine. It’s a dry and hard enough cheese that I can’t imagine there would be a problem. Something like brie, on the other hand, I could see being an issue.
Anyway, yum, mizithra! What are you planning to do with it?
[del]If you don’t see any mold on it, it should be safe.[/del] TEN HOURS? Oh my goodness, it’s practically toxic waste by now. Send it here, as quickly as possible, and I’ll dispose of it for you…
