Well, I have to move. Living on campus is nice, but my lease is up soon. My flatmate is moving in with her girlfriend, and so I am left alone
I went to see a nice room, in a house 5 minutes from the Hospital where my lectures are.
The rent is reasonable, and the people (a French girl and an Aussie couple) are all nice.
They’re all older (28-30), and work, where as I’m an idle student, but so was their last housemate.
The landlord seems nice, I’m meeting him tomorrow.
So…
Should I go ahead and rent the place, or do I keep looking around? It’s the first place I’ve seen, and I don’t think I’ll get better…but…you never know…

Caught on the horns of a dilemma.

Carpe rentum. If it’s what you’re looking for, grab it!
I don’t think you should move the whole house. You probably should just move the stuff that’s in the house. That might be a lot easier.
…What?
It sounds like a good thing, but if you are able to take a few additional days to make up your mind, why not try to cram a few more places in to check out? Couldn’t hurt.
Of course, if you have to let them know immediately, and it really is a good deal, then take it! Unless you have to sign a lease or agreement, you can always move again. A PITA, to be sure, but it’s another option.
If you like it, I say take it! Back in my renting days I always found that if I put a place off to make sure I wasn’t missing something I liked more, I never did find one I liked more. Go with your instinct, if you really like it!
