I think he’s moved on to the task of watching Doctor Who in it’s entirety. From 1963 -> present. ![]()
Guess what! We discussed this once!
Let me know when you have watched Sin City so I can slobber all over your shirt telling you how much I loved it.
Other recommendations:
[ul][li]Memento. Don’t watch it too soon before or after you watch Pulp Fiction, because the plot device needs to be approached with a fresh mind. [/ul][/li][ul][li]Watch Angel Heart, with Mickey Rourke. One review expressed it very well - “an elegant, stylish nightmare”.[/ul][/li][ul][li]Watch the first Star Wars movie (from 1977). Then stop. They get progressively worse as they go along.[/ul][/li][ul][li]I envy you the experience of watching Fargo for the first time. [/ul][/li][ul][li]Have not seen Donnie Darko. Saw but did not care for Inglorious Basterds. Saw and liked, mildly, Django Unchained mostly for the fun of watching Leonard Dicaprio being Eeeeevil. [/ul][/li][ul][li]I have seen two Predator movies, but both times I had been drinking. That’s the best recommendation I can give.[/ul][/li]Regards,
Shodan
I read today that they are working on a remake of Memento. There’s a great baader-meinhoff joke in here somewhere. Or maybe deja-vu?
Looks as if he’s pretty Idle about his updates as well…
First they would have to decide if it was a prequel or a sequel.

Shodan
Yes, it is!
Maybe he’s busy banning people?
I haven’t seen any more movies that I’ve listed in the OP yet, but when I do, I’ll revive this thread.
I have four other ongoing threads (besides this one) about things I’m doing too, which I will sometimes do many times a week to as long as once or twice every six months…so, yeah, updating may come scarcely at times.
NM.
So you don’t like binge watching, I take it? I don’t actually, either, but I can never resist. The problem is, I get so caught up that everything feels weird after I’m done. Like I completely lose track of time and the world around me.
I have this compulsion to finish things. It’s why I don’t read books as often as I would like. I find it very hard to read just a little bit at a time.
I’m not going to put up with this much longer, Idle Thoughts. If you don’t start watching and posting about these movies soon, then you’re going to see just how “Idle” my threats are.*
*They’re 100% idle.
Idle Threats would be a great User Name.
There’s not been much activity on this either.
I post as someone who once resolved to read Proust in the original, as a bit of a project to improve my language skills, so I know how these things can go, heh
