As previous, the moderates are ones most likely to lose their seats. To moderate Democrats.
The good news for the Democrats about kicking the can a very short way down the road is that the TP might try it again in a few months. By then they’ll figure out what went wrong this time and be ready for another shot. And since the same thing is likely to happen again, it would be even more damaging, being that much closer to the mid-term elections.
I think some people did. But just not enough people to pull it off. The balance of power was with the bluffers.
Not to rain on the party already in progress, but isn’t this a tad premature? This could still go massively off the rails. I won’t start the celebratory drinking until the ink is dry.
The “My country is run by morans” drinking will continue as usual.
This whole thing was ill-considered and didn’t result in anything positive. It will hurt the GOP at a time when self inflicted wounds are the last thing the party needs.
So, enjoy your gloat party.
Since you’re all filthy hippy liberals so you’ll probably buy a bunch of beer and snacks on your EBT cards that I’m actually paying for. So really, you should thank me.
This is a lot like Tantric sex. You never actually come, but they keep getting you soooo close you actually start to think there might be a point to it. Yeah, right.
On the plus side, at least now I’m ready for the zombie apocalypse.
Not to be a killjoy, but do we have any idea when Boehner is going to call the vote?
And I feel sorry for the guy. I can’t imagine he’s had fun trying to hold his caucus together when the people driving the bus off the cliff also want his head on a platter. There has to be some small part of him that wants to tell him own people to fuck off and get over it.
I don’t. He’s sided with the crazies at every opportunity until now in the hope of keeping his job, and it looks like it might’ve worked. The nutjobs are praising him and blaming other members in the caucus.
