But that’s the best part, Teabaggers miss can, shoot themselves in the foot.
Dems hand them another bullet, Teabaggers reload and shoot the other foot.
Could we replace the panda cam with this? It’ll be like watching reruns of the 228 stooges…
Next on Fox News - Tea Partiers show themselves to be the reasonable adults who avoided the default, while Democrats refused to negotiate!
Did the Tea Party achieve their goals? Do you expect them to achieve their goals when we do this all over again in January?
That’s the point. The lunatics tried to hold the country hostage and got told:
“You get NOTHING! You LOSE! Good day, sir!”
Something.
Thanks!
Exactly.
It puts the GOP in a much worse position for the 2014 midterms. That’s something.
And that will put the GOP in an even worse position for the 2014 midterms.
True. It still remains that some percentage of the members of the House would rather risk wrecking the world economy than let people with pre-existing medical conditions get health insurance.
Considering that the “change” we were facing was something like worldwide economic chaos, I’ll take “no change”.
And it probably has reduced America’s influence and respect in the world, which I consider a good thing.
I felt sorry for the moderate Republicans for like, a second. But then I realized, it’s their own damned fault for pandering to the far-right extremists and putting these lunatics in power in the first place. Mostly I’m just going to sit back and enjoy the tasty, tasty Schadenfreude until the Republican party gets its shit together.
Given that not feeling sympathetic to other people is a central part of their worldview, there’s no circumstances under which I’d feel sympathetic to a Republican. They wouldn’t care about me even if I was burning alive; I see no reason to feel any sympathy over anything that happens to them.
You are like a cartoon of what every Republican member of my family thinks all liberals are like.
Make them scoop it out of the pool/punch bowl first.
I’ afraid we’re going to be celebrating several of those holidays every year…
True, the chronic problem persists but the acute problem is allayed. Its like you still got malaria but the execution has been cancelled. Still a good day.
So come on, Eeyore, rock out!
That the Tea Party would humiliate themselves. They obliged.
I’m not sure. Do you think the Republicans will be spoiling for another debt ceiling fight in a couple of months- closer to an election and with their polls in the toilet?
Beautiful piece of work. I will keep an eye on this guy.
Most of them? No.
The 25 or so Tea Party Republicans in the house? Sure.
Cruz, if he feels it would get him more personal power? Definitely.
