Well, I’m settling in on my couch with streaming of coverage of the festivities for the next several hours, in which I will be going on a computer/phone technology fast, just so I can soak it all in. I pray it goes off smoothly.

There are 3 other living vice presidents: Walter Mondale (93), Dick Cheney (79), and Al Gore (72). Possibly Mondale might not want to attend due to age, but if Qualye was invited I’m surprised that Gore at least isn’t there.
Cheney was advised by doctors not to go. He is a real health risk. Gore is in tenn.

Yeah, if he’s in TN, that’s a less-than-two-hour flight, close enough to pop over for a couple of hours.

I saw gore on tv last night. He has lost a lot of weight. It could be health reasons as well.
