Inblourious Gasterds Mafia

All the cool kids are doing it?

The Villagers awoke and assembled in the main square. They each counted off and found that they numbered only 12. Two of them were missing: peekercpa and Normal Phase.

They went to peeker’s place where they found him dead, his body lying in a pool of blood that clearly formed as a result of the multiple bullet wounds that peirced it. Someone or someones wanted to make sure he wasn’t coming back.

In his bedside table was found a playing card. Upon turning it over, the Villagers found out that he was Vanilla Town.

They then ran over to Normal’s place, which unlike peeker’s was in complete disarray. Someone was either looking for something, or wanted it to look like they were looking for something. But the mess was the least of the Villager’s concerns. Hanging upside down by the feet was Normal’s body. The blood was still dripping into the pool that formed under the head. But what was Normal? It’d be hard to find the card amongst all the mess. They began the arduous task of sifting through the deteritus until one of them noticed the corner of something sticking out of Normal’s mouth. Prying open the mouth, they found a crumpled up card stuffed there. Uncrumpling it they discovered that Normal was also Vanilla Town.

Day 2 starts now and will end Thursday at 3 P.M. CDT.

  2. Normal Phase - Town Vanilla - Killed Night 1

Hmmm…two deaths.

With this being a Gasterd game, I was afraid we’d wake up with even more. I’m not sure what to make of Peeker and Normal’s deaths.

I wonder if the order it was revealed tells us anything.

I thought we’d have more than two, too. Do you think someone was role blocked?

If all the roles in the opener are in fact in the game then either scum, the vig, or the serial killer was role blocked. However, we don’t know if there are as many as three killers or if there are more, or less.

crap, three of us down in the first day!

I wonder if the playing cards have any significance, or purely colour?

I was wondering if the “someone or someones” had significance. Like, maybe only 2 died because two killers targeted the same person?

The playing cards bit almost certainly refers to the fact that role reveal upon death is usually called a card flip. A little meta-humor if you would.

Some thoughts in a bit, right in the middle of something.

We briefly thought about throwing in some extra death just for the hell of it, but decided that we should keep the game playable and not just fuck with y’all at every possible opportunity. Well, Hoopy decided. Again, I am just here to help with the vote counting and to serve as a nice distraction.

Well, they were compatriots of a sort.

That little brouhaha last night may have concentrated kills onto them, so being sure of the number of kills will be tricky (more so than it would have been with 0 night talking).

I was looking over the night posts, too. Do you think that the “We don’t want to modkill but…” line is significant? I note that NAF did not add a gasterd’s honest truth when saying that they didn’t kill anyone.

I think that it is highly likely. All kills are required every night, I believe. This means that if we have every role in the game description, we should have had more deaths. Someone was stopped, which is good…unless the role block stopped a scum kill, which would be unfortunate.

Anyway, impossible to tell at this point. How likely do you all think it is that we do not have a vigilante or serial killer?

Is it possible we don’t have scum and have a lot of serial killers? I shudder at the thought.

:snipped:

Hey, good point. Was that little compatriot comment an indicator of what was to come?

Uh-huh. Stopping the scum kill is UNfortunate. Right.

vote Mahaloth

I assumed Mahaloth meant killing a scum. Not blocking a scum from killing.

I suppose I can see how you’d read it that way, but the last few games I’ve been in, we’ve caught a good many scum with really dumb slips (including myself in LOST!), so I’m being aggressive over it.

I meant that it would be unfortunate if the roleblock stopped a killing of a scum, like if a vigilante or serial killer tried to do that and got blocked.

I appreciate Zeriel being sensitive to scum slips, but voting when the intended meaning is clear(which I really think it is) can prevent people from wanting to talk freely and share their thoughts, which is anti-town.

Anyway, anyone who has not yet expressed their thoughts want to share any?

Current Post Count:

Mahaloth (1): - Zeriel

Not Voting: - Zsofia, Mahaloth, DiggitCamara, DarthSensitive, BillMC, Nanook of the North Shore, TexCat, AllWalker, ColdPhoenix, Gryff, Freudian Slit

As of now Mahaloth will by lynched at Dusk.

And frankly, at the beginning a scum kill gives some information, although generally nobody gets anywhere with the “why do you think they killed ____” thing.

Maybe. That would be pretty gasterdly–the serial killer thing.

But I feel like the game would be over way too soon if we had that many killing agents. That is, a mafia and a vig and a serial killer. Then again, maybe that’s the point.
