Inblourious Gasterds Mafia

True. You know, I never really got to play Mafia with that guy. He got subbed out of Batman fairly early and that was the last game he was in, AFAIK.

Except that DiggitCamera is voting for TexCat. Not DarthSensitive.

Yep. And that’s exactly what the last post count shows. :stuck_out_tongue:

Oops…did I totally just mess up, in which case I’m officially insane and should probably take an SDMB break ? or did you go back and edit?

I have always maintained that he was possibly the best mafia player we had. At least in the top 5. He just got some really crap luck and games broke bad for him several times in a row. But his play in the Pirates game, in Cult of Seekham and in YSI mafia, was consistantly brilliant.

His play in Batman would have been similarly brilliant had it not been coupled with his burnout “I hate mafia” rant.

I edited.

(See, I’m still the “Good Cop”.)

My vote yesterday was for Darth Sensitive. I don’t see much of a reason to change it today. I note that he was on the Tom Scud bandwagon, but there were almost certainly both scum and townies on that wagon. Also, Darth voted Normal Phase when it looked like a bandwagon might be forming on Normal. So not such a good voting record: two people who have been proven to be townies.

Vote: Darth Sensitive

Hey, I’ve tried to respond to BillMC’s comment about my comment, but I don’t get what he’s saying. Anyway, if anyone else is concerned, ask me about it and I’ll explain. I just don’t get what he is saying.

As opposed to a vig kill?

I don’t really see how that’s a scummy assumption to make.

Current vote count:

**Darth (3): ** - Mahaloth, Freudian Slit, TexCat
**Zeriel (1): ** - Gryff
**Mahaloth (1): ** - BillMC
**TexCat(1): ** - DiggitCamara

Not Voting: - Zsofia, DarthSensitive, Nanook of the North Shore, ColdPhoenix, Zeriel, Allwalker

As of now Darth will by lynched at Dusk.

Nuh uh. You can not call good cop after forcing FS to revote due to a typo in the color. No sir, you are a bonafidde Gasterd ain’t no mistake.

Jerkface.

Everyone who calls Hoopy a Jerkface in the thread gets 6 extra points toDay.

I prefer voting based on perceived Scum motivations for behaviour and attitudes than for LtL, especially come Day 2. But, as has been noted, it is a small, fast game. Placing active players under extra scrutiny isn’t fair.

I will not vote based on that, yet. But a definite FOS on the low volume posters for antiTown play, if nothing else.

You said you were expecting three kills: vig, sk, scum. But there were only two.

You said “unless the role block stopped a scum kill”.

Zeriel read this as you saying the blocker stopped the scum making a kill.

If there are three killers, and a blocker, then the blocker would have had an equal chance of blocking vig, sk, scum. The blocker could have have stopped a scum kill, so Zeriel’s viewpoint is ok, but doesn’t strike me as odd either way.

But you said you meant the blocker stopped a scum being killed.

Out of three equally likely kill-block pairings, you appear to have assumed that the scum kill was not blocked. That’s what I find odd.

Bill, I don’t get what you are saying. Mahaloth is saying it would be a shame if there are 3 killers, and only 2 people died in the Night because through a roleblock or whatever a Scum was protected.

You are saying that he is declaring with certainty that there are 3 killers and that the Scum kill went through. I’m looking over what he said, and I think you are putting words in his mouth.

The last post is particularly weird. You point out Zeriel’s interpretation of what Mahaloth said, Mahaloth explaining that he misunderstood, then you ignore the explanation and proceed to follow Zeriel’s interpretation.

To me, it looks as though Mahaloth said something ambiguous then clarified what he meant. You though, are reading something else. In particular,

All Mahaloth was saying that the kill against the Scum, if one occured, didn’t go through. You are saying he said the kill by the Scum did go through.

I don’t see it.

Regarding post count, mine is low for two reasons, timezones and that I come here while at work.

The first “Day” was a Friday followed by the weekend, so one day’s posting for me. Then there was night so only fluff chat, then then was one day in the “Day” cycle before now. So a total of 2 “Day” days for me before now.

Also, as I’m in a different timezone from most of you, I come in, read the thread and try and post all I have to say in one post (quoting a number of posts if required). Then I come in and check during the day to see if anything else has been added to the thread and it usually hasn’t, until I check the next day when there’s been loads of posts as you’ve all been having a good chat while I’ve been away.

Finally, I just had a look through my posts and they’re of good quality. By that I mean they’re mainly game related and not fluff (the strategy may be poor though but I can’t help that! ;)).

So, lynch me for the content of my posts if that is what people want, but don’t lynch me for post count.

And before people come in and say, “He’s looking jumpy, he’s not even voted”. I’ve just said this incase a bandwagon starts while I’m away based on this reason!!

Will now have a more indepth look at what else has been written.

It’s not post count that’s the issue, it’s participation. Lots of fluffy posts is worse than a few great posts.

On that note, I’ll be lucky if I post today, depending on whether I can coax this RAID5 device that lost two drives simultaneously back to life.

I have to admit I’m stumped. There’s nothing really on anyone.

We need some doctor’s reports.

What are people’s thoughts on claiming?

Who knows if we even have a doctor?

I didn’t mean to imply that everyone who was being quiet was being scummy, CP. Obviously, not every single quiet person can be a scum. But I stand by my vote of Darth because not only was he quiet he did try to justify it with basically “That’s how I play, town or scum.” And honesty, acting as though that’s just a play strategy is a poor defense. It’s anti town whether you are town or scum.

Zsofia–good point. I don’t know. I keep thinking, should someone claim…it just seems kind of a scary thing to do if we don’t have protection for said person.

The opening post was totally true. So…you know.
