I’ve seen that kind of win condition in just about every game with a serial killer in it that I’ve played in–mostly because killing both the mafia and the serial killer is generally necessary.
Regarding the problem of finding serial killers, we do have cops. And as was said in Post 145,
Okay…DiggitCamara, DarthSensitive, BillMC, Nanook of the North Shore, TexCat, ColdPhoenix, come on down, guys. It’s been way too quiet, and you guys have to say something.
Darth Sensitive came in to note that, wow, you get slammed for a couple days at work and then people end up voting for you… fair enough, but then doesn’t say anything else? I’m not voting it, because I did the same thing either last game or the game before and then got lynched and I wasn’t scum, but FOS.
I think it’s also unfair because people will end up looking at people who have posted and dissecting their posts all the more. Okay, obviously this is what we are meant to be doing. But if we have 12 people in a game and only three or four are posting a lot, then of course they will come under the most scrutiny. Even if they have said things that are fairly innocuous or even helpful.
So with that in mind, I’m going to…
Unvote Zeriel
And Vote DarthSensitive.
He wasn’t posting very much on our first day either, and I voted for him originally because of it. We need people to post so we’ll have something, anything, to go on. Frankly, the silence is really annoying, way more so than anything anyone has said.
Sorry to post again but obviously I can’t edit but I just went back and found this post that you mentioned, Zsofia.
I think this is a weak justification for not speaking. Townies often are quiet (whether it’s because they’re busy off board or because they also fear getting lynched themselves mistakenly) but being quiet is pretty much always anti-town. None of his other posts are really screaming out anything to me but defending your quietness, especially in a game that’s been pretty slow with not that many posts really sticks out to me.
Silly me, I thought Night was two days – sounds mad doesn’t it - answers on the back of a mobius strip.
So two dead, so all we can conclude for certain is that there is at least one additional killing role in play.
I actually do find the comment that Zeriel hightlighted interesting, but for a different reason.
What gets me here, is that if you were expecting 3 kills, why would you expect a roleblocker not to have had an equal chance of blocking the scum’s actual kill?
Even with only two kills you seem to have assumed the scum’s kill went through.
Well, isn’t the likelihood of blocking much lower? If you want to kill someone, you just choose someone to kill. If you want to role block you have a much lower chance because not everyone has a power role.
Yeah, but I should dock you pay for missing the fact that Freudian didn’t put her vote in blue. So right now, she’s not voting for anyone. Which means, Zeriel is still on the block, since he was the first to 1 vote, and no one has gone over one vote.
Wow, good eyes man. I totally didn’t catch that. This is why you are top dog…er, well, top Gasterd or something. Zuma is top dog, it’s not really fair to give away his title like that.
