Inblourious Gasterds Mafia

It would have been a fifteen-way tie. I had my “Everybody wins! GROUP HUG” post all ready, too.

For the record, my strategy in the betrayal was to assume the trend of ‘one kill a night’ would continue, then be here and ready to snipe the vote–I’d surmised (incorrectly) that the particular tie-breaking mechanics would allow a one-vs-one showdown to boil down to “who voted first”.

In retrospect, I’m not sure WHY I thought there was a trend of one kill a night.

lol - good game

I have NEVER won a Mafia game before! Not as town, not as scum… I feel so warm and happy inside.

Normal Phase, in a way your slip made it more interesting.

Fun game, but I think it’s time to lynch the gasterds.

Amusing, so Zeriel’s double-cross ended up ensuring that she would lose, while, if she had dealt honestly, she would have won.

He. Click through to his profile and read his signature.

On the contrary, you were one of the winners in Munchkin Mini Mafia (which I just looked up to double-check whether the CG winner was you or Zeriel).

I was? I have no memory of that.

The general idea was to do the top two every Night, except for one Night of one kill only.

But the final night was always going to be three players with two kills unless they circle killed, in which case everyone is dead, and everyone wins. (It’s all explained in the setup on the spoiler board, though, the final color gives a good synopsis of it.)

Incidentally, the color I had for an all death scenario was similar, though, rather than the explanation coming out of conversation, it was almost all narrative except for the cameos by NAF and I which were going to happen regardless of the outcome.

Hope you all had fun!

I’m not surprised:

Nice color and congrats on your win! Half-way through the game my guess-at-the-gastard was that everyone would flip vanilla town :).

Thanks!

Hah. Read the spoiler board. A couple days in, Hoopy was bitching about how nobody had lynched or killed anyone but vanilla town yet. It would have been fun if one of the “scum” had flipped earlier.

Sad thing is, just befor Normal Phase’s slip I was starting to figure the thole thing out (especially since Cold Phoenix had claimed he’d killed every Night.).

At first I’d thought maybe every psycho had an alternate role which would trigger every second Night or so but I think I might have guessed the setup as soon as Cold’s card had been flipped.

Everything on the spoiler boards is open now. You should be able to go read and post there.

Thanks for the explanation, Hoopy.

Heh. Actually, I remember hoping at one point that Mahaloth wouldn’t flip to being scum because of all my vigorous defenses. Though by the time Maha did die, no one seemed to attack me because of it except for one person, I think. If Maha and I had died earlier on and we’d both flipped scum and people were still playing as though it were a normal scum game, I think they would have been congratulating themselves and then trying to look for whoever had agreed with us. It made for an interesting dynamic.

The spoiler boards still require registration and approval.

Really? I must have missed something. Give me a second.
Ok, try it now.

As I pointed out in the spoiler board, every single “scum” voted to lynch me on turn 1. Too bad that never made much of a difference.
