The Aztecs at least sometimes drugged their victims. But yes, the Inca way sounds more pleasant, although I understand it wasn’t always as peaceful as drunken exposure.

I thought coca leaves were used by everybody. If that’s right, saying those kids consumed them would be equivalent to “American children found to have consumed soda in the days before their deaths” - no shit.
Pretty much it. Universal use by the populace, so I’d be very surprised if they hadn’t found it.
