Incident Response Video Suggestions

Yes, I am asking for help with my homework.

But don’t worry, I’m not asking for help in writing it up. Part of the term project in the disaster recovery class I’m taking involves a class presentation on human factors we need to take into account when making crisis management plans.

What I’d like to do is include some short videos from the internet about people’s behavior with regard to following security or responding to breaches of same (incident or disaster response).

I will, of course, be dong my own searching, but thought it’d be a good idea to see if anyone here knows of any good ones they’d recommend.

I once saw an excellent Dept. of Defense video about how security plans got compromised by failing to take into account how people behave and can be compromised. I’d love to include that one, but it was done back in 1990 or so, so good luck with that. It had a great twist at the end: after showing how various classified information was compromised or stolen from United States government systems, the camera slowly panned away from the head of the narrator, until you could see that he was wearing a Soviet uniform and what we thought was a US Army guy giving the talk was actually a Soviet intelligence officer giving a briefing to his agents! Obviously, the lesson really stuck with me.

Anyway, I’d appreciate any suggestions on videos that show how people can be compromised, how / why people fail to follow security policies, how people forget the steps they should do when a breach or crisis occurs, etc.

They don’t necessarily have to be safe for work, but should at least OK for a small group of grad students.

Thanks in advance!

Mrs. Cad who has done first-responder training for years always points out that despite the best training, there will always be people who do the wrong thing in an emergency.

That being said, try to find a copy of “The Man Who Predicted 9/11”
Rick Rescorla trained the Morgan Stanley workers in the WTC about evacuation plans after the truck bombing. When the plane hit, he managed to get almost every MS worker out. Rick himself died when he went back to help evacuations of other companies.

Sounds like a possibility, Saint Cad, and I’ll use some of the key words in your post to look for it. Thanks!

How did the presentation go?

The OP passed away.
