This has been bugging me for quite some time. Why is it that I sometimes get multiple emails on single posts to a thread I’ve subscribed to. And why am I sometimes not notified on subsequent posts to other threads?
I’ve checked my settings on my Control Panel, and they look fine. Any ideas?

IANA Admin but I think I might know the problem. This is still a WAG though.
Someone does a multiple post by mistake. The system catches it on the boards now (and gives the duplicate post message) but the email still gets sent out. In this case the multiple e-mail notifications are all the same. This happens quite a lot.
If I am checking my subscribed threads without checking my email I would start to get other email notifications. This would explain multiple e-mail notifications that are different.
I think I’m right on the first one but I rarely check the boards before my email so the second could (and probably is) wrong.
