Incorrect Warning (IMO)

I apologize for thinking that the thread the poster links to at the top of the post is the thread the poster is talking about.

Of course, but I tend to just let people make mistakes. Trying to correct every wrong thing on the internet is a fruitless and impossible task. Not that some people won’t try. For example, here is a Mod instruction/warning.

So in order to not run afoul of Mod directions, you have to mentally change what was written, and regard it as the Mod has told you to regard it.

This is actually how GD works you see. You have to mentally imagine what is on the page is something else now. Because a Mod ordered you to do so. And not following a Mod’s instructions is a serious offense. So if you somehow forget to mentally change what you see on the page, you can get an infraction, which can lead to being banned.

Ain’t that a hoot?

Watching some folks not being able to do that is.

Some people just can’t get their mind right.

“How many fingers, Winston?”
“Four.”
The needle went up to sixty. “How many fingers, Winston?”…
“Five! Five! Fivel”
“No, Winston, that is no use. You are lying. You still think there are four. How many fingers, please?”
“Four! Five! Four! Anything you like. Only stop it, stop the pain!”

“I see everything twice”

Seriously, the OP is pretty tame … the modding is great here … JonathanChance is like the Mother Therisa of moderators

The modding is great here.

Jonathan Chance is pretty good at it.

But…he choused up. He made an error, and I called him on it. Errare humanum est, and even Homer nods.

I agree it’s tame. It was a pretty tame error. The best kind.
